Computer attack on Russia had been conducted with the U.S., Germany and the Netherlands. This was stated by Nikolay Murashov, deputy director of the National Coordination Center for Computer Incidents (NCCC), speaking at the Infoforum in Sochi.
According to him, the Russian coordination center within the framework of cooperation responds to all requests for assistance received. At the same time, many foreign countries participating in the network of contact points do not turn to Russia with requests for the suppression of malicious activities. In addition, they do not respond to Russia's appeals.
As an example, he cited Germany, where the national computer incident response team suggested that Russia solve all issues directly with providers. Although it is obliged to perform the functions of a single contact point.
Murashov stressed that baseless accusations against Russia about its involvement in hacker attacks also continue to sound in the media space. In his opinion, cyber defense activities have become too politicized.
The deputy Head of the NCCCI said that the center cooperates with 153 similar foreign centers. He noted that such cooperation made it possible to stop almost 69 thousand sources of malicious activity in other countries that were targeted at Russian information infrastructure facilities. In turn, at the request of partners, the Russian Federation stopped the activities of more than nine thousand sources located on the territory of Russia that are dangerous for them. Murashov said that this shows that Russia is not the main source of threat to the information spaces of other states.
