INTERFAX-Military instructors of the 201st military base of the Russian Federation are conducting intensive training of servicemen of the Armed Forces of Tajikistan, a total of 1 thousand servicemen of the republic will be trained this year, the press service of the Central Military District (CVO) reported on Wednesday.
"Practical training is conducted at the mountain ranges of Lyaur and Sambuli. The training program includes day and night classes as part of the crews of tanks, armored personnel carriers, fire training with the use of weapons of combat vehicles, exercises of control shooting from manual and automatic grenade launchers, " the report says.
It is also noted that within the framework of the training course, classes are held on shooting and fire control of artillery using reconnaissance means. At the same time, special attention is paid to the use of the experience of modern armed conflicts.
The training course will last until the end of July and will end with control live firing.
During the summer period of training, 500 junior specialists for the Armed Forces of Tajikistan are trained. In total, this year 1 thousand Tajik servicemen will be trained in 14 military specialties, including scouts, commanders and gunners of BM-21 Grad multiple launch rocket systems, 122-mm self-propelled artillery installations "Gvozdika", operators of T-72 tanks and others, the Central Military District specifies.
As reported, the United States and its allies should withdraw their troops from Afghanistan by September 11 this year. The withdrawal of troops takes place against the background of the activation of the Taliban movement in Afghanistan. Since May, the Taliban have been conducting a large-scale offensive and pushing back government forces.
