TSAMTO, July 5. Snipers of the motorized rifle unit of the Southern Military District (SE), stationed in the Volgograd Region, have started special training on the SKATT shooting simulator.
It gives you the opportunity to practice shooting at any distance, both on the range and indoors, both idle and with the use of cartridges.
The head of classes at the training site monitors the accuracy of shooting at a distance of 100 to 300 m. When conducting conditional fire in the classroom, a distance of 10 m from a small-sized target can correspond to up to 800 m on the ground. Through a laser beam, information is transmitted to a computer, on which the shooting process is recorded, including the fluctuations of the shooter's hand during aiming and recoil. The panoramic screen of the simulator displays the terrain with the ability to change the distance to the target. It is possible to simulate various weather conditions with different temperature indicators, as well as air pressure and humidity.
With the help of weather stations and ballistic calculators, the serviceman makes accurate calculations in order to hit the target in the field from the first shot.
About 70% of the military personnel's training hours are trained in the field, and the rest of the time - in specialized training classes, the press service of the Southern Military District reports.
