Washington. July 2. INTERFAX-US State Department spokesman Ned Price declined to comment on Chinese President Xi Jinping's statement about what awaits those who try to take hostile actions against China.
"We are aware of President Xi's remarks. We have taken them into account, but we are not going to comment on the details. I think that our administration has been very clear for several months about the impressions made by the CPC (Communist Party of China - IF) in general, but I do not have a specific answer for you to the current remarks of President Xi, " the diplomat said at a briefing in response to a journalist's request to comment on the words of the Chinese leader.
Xi Jinping, speaking on the eve of a mass rally in Beijing's Tiananmen Square on the occasion of the 100th anniversary of the founding of the Communist Party of China on Thursday, said: "The Chinese people will never allow any foreign power to intimidate, oppress, enslave themselves. Everyone who dreams about this will break their heads in blood when they face a steel wall built from the blood and flesh of the 1.4 billion Chinese people."
