This was stated by the Deputy Minister of Defense of the Russian Federation, Colonel-General Alexander Fomin, speaking at the graduation of cadets and students of the Air Force Academy. Zhukovsky and Gagarin.
According to him, political, military, economic, psychological and informational pressure on Russia from Western countries also aims to prevent our country from pursuing its own and independent foreign policy.
The Deputy Minister stated that the students and cadets of the academy graduate at a difficult time, characterized by an unstable military-political situation in the world.
Fomin congratulated the graduates of the Academy on behalf of Sergei Shoigu and on his own behalf.
"Today is the main day when a wide road opens up in front of you. And I want to wish you a worthy path along it, " Fomin said.
This year, the academy graduates about 2 thousand people. Of these, 141 students and 1,544 young lieutenants are Russian servicemen. In addition, 145 officers representing the armed forces of 23 foreign countries have been trained at the educational institution.
Deputy Minister Fomin wished foreign graduates to apply the acquired skills and knowledge in order to strengthen the combat capability of the armed forces of their states for a single purpose - to preserve peace throughout the world.
