TSAMTO, June 24. The army of Chad is equipped with a large number of military equipment of Soviet and Russian production, Russian specialists are ready to assist in its repair and modernization.
This was announced by the Deputy Minister of Defense of the Russian Federation, Colonel-General Alexander Fomin, at talks with the head of the military delegation of the Republic of Chad, Daoud Brahim.
"Our states are bound by long-term and very strong ties of friendship, very close ties in the field of military and military-technical cooperation. We have a very rich history with you. We have provided and are providing assistance to each other in strengthening the defense capability of our states, which means protecting sovereignty and territorial integrity," Alexander Fomin said.
The Russian Deputy Defense Minister noted that " the Republic of Chad is armed with a large set of military and special equipment of Soviet and Russian production, which requires regular repair, maintenance and modernization. And we are ready for such work."
In turn, Daoud Brahim thanked the Russian side for the invitation to the IX Moscow Conference on International Security, the Department of Information and Mass Communications of the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation reports.
