MOSCOW, June 23. /TASS/. Deputy Defense Minister of the Russian Federation Colonel-General Alexander Fomin and Minister of National Defense of Mauritania Hanan Ould Seydi signed an agreement on military cooperation between the two countries. This was reported to journalists on Wednesday in the Russian Defense Ministry.
The military leaders signed the document during a meeting on the sidelines of the Moscow Conference on International Security.
"The parties noted the importance of developing bilateral Russian-Mauritanian military cooperation and expressed their readiness to begin the early practical implementation of the agreement," the Russian defense ministry said.
