Moscow. June 17. INTERFAX-The exercises with the Collective Rapid Deployment Forces (CSIS) of the Central Asian region (CAR) of the CSTO collective security "Rubezh-2021" will take place at the Edelweiss training ground in Kyrgyzstan.
"It is planned that the KSBR units of the CAR will work out actions on the territory of the Kyrgyz Republic - at the Edelweiss training ground, "the CSTO Joint Staff (OSH) said in a statement issued on Thursday.
According to OSH, staff talks on the preparation and conduct of these exercises were held in Kyrgyzstan in the period from June 15 to 17.
During the negotiations, in particular, the plan of maneuvers, the plan of practical actions of the contingents were discussed, the order of arrival and deployment of military contingents was agreed.
The CSCS of the CAR are designed to perform tasks to ensure the military security of the CSTO member states, including to participate in repelling external military aggression and conducting joint counter-terrorism operations. The total number is about five thousand people.
The CSTO member states of the Central Asian region of collective security (Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Russia and Tajikistan) allocate military formations, units and units of permanent readiness of the armed forces and other troops, formations and bodies in which military service is provided to the national contingents of the KSBR of the CAR. The formations are equipped with highly mobile military equipment, interfaced weapons and communications systems, and they have combat, logistics and technical support units.
