Moscow. June 14. INTERFAX-Russia does not intend to supply Iran with high-tech satellite systems, especially since Tehran itself is hardly ready for such cooperation, Russian President Vladimir Putin said.
In an interview with NBC, he was asked if it is true that Russia is preparing to transfer satellite technology to Iran, which will allow Iran to track and strike military targets.
"We have no such intentions. I don't know if Iran is technologically ready to accept even such cooperation. This is a separate topic, very high-tech, " Putin replied.
The President also recalled Moscow's readiness to cooperate with other countries in space, but noted that Russia opposes the militarization of outer space.
