Negotiations on the preparation of joint special exercises "Echelon-2021", "Search-2021" and "Interaction-2021"were held in Dushanbe. The organization noted that all the necessary issues were discussed, the venue itself was inspected and the landfills were studied, as they say, by foot. This is important because the troops will have to operate in the difficult terrain of the mountainous desert area.
"During the negotiations, the basics of the plans for joint exercises, the content and duration of the stages, the preliminary composition of the management bodies and troops, as well as the main issues of comprehensive support were considered and discussed. A reconnaissance of the exercise area was conducted. The main practical actions of the contingents will be deployed at the Harbmaydon training ground of the Republic of Tajikistan, "Vladislav Shchegrikovich, the press secretary of the CSTO Joint Staff, told the RG correspondent.
Three major exercises are planned. They will be held within the framework of the CSTO operational-strategic exercise "Combat Brotherhood-2021".
"During the special exercise "Echelon-2021", it is planned to work out the issues of organizing the material and technical support of the CSTO collective forces during the preparation and during the joint operation. The special exercise "Search-2021" will be aimed at practicing the organization and conduct of intelligence by the forces and means of the intelligence agencies of the CSTO member states. And within the framework of the joint exercise "Interaction-2021", the CSTO Collective Rapid Reaction Forces (CRRF) will work out the issues of preparing and conducting a joint operation to localize the border armed conflict in the Central Asian region." - said Vladislav Shchegrikovich.
