The Russian rocket and space industry must be forever cleansed of "filth" and "rot", said on Wednesday, June 9, the head of "Roscosmos" Dmitry Rogozin on the radio station " Vesti FM ".
"I want the industry to be forever cleansed from filth, from corruption, from embezzlement, because <...> this is even worse than sanctions. When inside, when you realize that you have directors-dealers, when you realize that you have rot inside your industry-you can't move on with this, " he said.
Rogozin stressed that during the three years of his leadership of the state corporation, several dozen criminal cases were initiated.
"People should work thinking about their professional task. And those people who joined in the 1990s and then used the industry for their own self-enrichment, we will simply squeeze them out <...> I believe that the purification of the industry is the way to go, "the head of Roscosmos said.
On June 7, Rogozin said that Roscosmos will continue to fight idlers and crooks, despite the reputational risks and the aggravation of the fight against the team.
Izvestia reported that the anti-corruption investigation of the Investigative Committee on the fact of large-scale abuses in Roscosmos revealed the theft of funds allocated for the program of rotation of American crew members on the ISS. As a result, the attackers withdrew more than 8 million rubles.
Experts described the facts of corruption, disclosed and passed to law enforcement by the internal audit of Roscosmos, as the corporation's interest in"cleaning its ranks".
