Moscow. June 1. INTERFAX-Deliveries of S-400 systems to India are carried out in accordance with the contract, New Delhi confirms its commitment to the agreements, Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov said.
"I note the implementation of the contract for the supply of S-400 systems to India. We do not see any changes here, the Indian leadership confirms its commitment to these agreements," Lavrov said at a press conference.
It was officially reported that in early October 2018, "on the sidelines" of the Russian-Indian negotiations at the highest level, a contract was signed for the supply of S-400 Triumph air defense systems to India (JSC "Concern of East Kazakhstan Region "Almaz-Antey") under a contract worth $5.43 billion. India will receive five regimental sets of S-400s. All systems are expected to be delivered by the end of 2024.
Rosoboronexport CEO Alexander Mikheev said earlier that the first deliveries of the S-400 Triumph air defense system to India will take place in October-December of this year.
