The Ministry of Industry and Trade proposed to return half of the costs of Russians when switching to domestic electronic components and software.
The plans of the department were announced by the deputy head of the Ministry Vasily Shpak at the forum "Intelligence of Machines and Mechanisms". His words are transmitted by TASS.
"We plan to direct this subsidy towards consumers. There, we are ready to subsidize up to 50 percent of the costs in terms of switching to domestic solutions, both in terms of hardware and software, " Shpak said.
According to the deputy head of the Ministry, the Ministry of Industry and Trade also plans to subsidize the development of artificial intelligence. Both proposals are undergoing "final approval by the federal executive authorities," he added.
Shpak noted that the ministry is going to subsidize 90 percent of the costs of creating means of production of special technological equipment, as well as materials and design tools for radio electronics.
