Moscow. May 25. INTERFAX-Five joint exercises will be held this fall by the military contingents of the member states of the Collective Security Treaty Organization, the CSTO Joint Staff (OSH) said on Tuesday.
"It is planned to work out the issues of consistent use of the components of the troops (collective forces) The CSTO, starting from a joint operation to localize the border armed conflict and ending with a post-conflict settlement in the course of a peacekeeping operation, " the press release says.
The headquarters clarifies that in the fall of this year, as part of the operational and strategic maneuvers "Combat Brotherhood-2021", "five joint (special) exercises are planned to be held, covering the Central Asian region (CAR) of collective security."
So, on the territory of Kyrgyzstan, joint exercises with the Collective Rapid Deployment Forces of the CAR "Rubezh-2021"will be held. On the territory of Tajikistan - special training with the forces and means of material and technical support of the troops (collective forces) CSTO "Echelon-2021", special exercises with the forces and means of intelligence "Search-2021", joint exercises with the Collective Rapid Reaction Forces of the CSTO "Interaction-2021". Joint exercises with the CSTO peacekeeping forces "Unbreakable Brotherhood - 2021" will be held on the territory of the Russian Federation, the Organization's OSH informs.
These exercises were discussed at a meeting of the coordination meeting of the chairmen of the committees (commissions) on defense and security of the parliaments of the CSTO member states under the Council of the CSTO Parliamentary Assembly held in Moscow on Tuesday.
The report on the joint exercises was made by the head of the CSTO OSH, Colonel-General Anatoly Sidorov.
"He noted that when planning the preparation and conduct of the exercises, the current military-political and strategic situation in the CSTO area of responsibility, the focus of training of management bodies and formations of forces and means of the collective security system are taken into account," the report says.
