MOSCOW, May 23. /TASS/. The simulator of the manned spacecraft will be created on the basis of a virtual reality complex created by the industry IT integrator of Roscosmos "RK-tsifra". This was reported to TASS by the director of the Digital Development Department of the state corporation Konstantin Shadrin.
"The CPC [Cosmonaut Training Center] was very interested in the virtual reality complex being created and asked for one of the samples for testing, the issue of creating a simulator of a manned spacecraft with our technologies is being worked out," Shadrin said.
According to the director of the department, the simulator should be universal for both the existing Soyuz spacecraft and the promising Eagle. "This direction we have followed from the prototypes of simulators for fellow aviators," he explained.
The spacecraft simulator will add some elements that are beyond the limits of virtual reality technologies, including the simulation of weightlessness.
The creation of a virtual reality complex is engaged in "RK-Digital" (industry IT integrator of Roscosmos). Last year, a series of samples of virtual reality helmets of the Roscosmos XR-1 generation was developed. This year, it is planned to create the Roscosmos XR-2 complex (the working name of the prototypes of the pre-production batch of sets of devices is Sokol-1).
