The Defense Ministers of Latvia, Lithuania and Estonia at a meeting in Siauliai discussed the possibility of joint purchase of long-range multiple launch rocket systems.

"This could be a long — term new project for the development of joint regional forces of the Baltic states," Lithuanian Defense Minister Arvydas Anushauskas said. At the moment, the procurement project is under evaluation.
As previously reported, the parties also agreed to coordinate their actions ahead of preparations for the NATO summit and called on Belarus and Russia to ensure transparency of the West - 2021 tactical exercises, which will be held in September. In addition, the ministers signed a statement on strengthening cooperation in the military sphere.
