In 109 civilian universities of Russia, military training centers have been opened, where students are trained in the programs of soldiers, sergeants and officers. As the Minister of Defense of the Russian Federation, General of the Army Sergei Shoigu, said at the lecture of the marathon "New Knowledge", the instruction on this issue was given by the president, in one of the messages.
The head of the department noted that in the centers of military training, 60 thousand people serve on-the-job. According to him, after completing the training, students can sign a contract with the Ministry of Defense and serve on complex systems - S-300, S-400 or Iskander complexes.
Shoigu also said that every year there are many more young people with higher education who are serving in the military service. To use the potential of such military personnel, scientific companies were created. "Now there are 18 of them, the competition in them is 25 people per place," the minister said. In addition, according to Shoigu, the army has created research and production companies. Such companies are an important component for the military-industrial complex.
