Today this is a reality, and these are the "Peresvet" complexes, which, on the one hand, are already in service, and on the other-they have not stopped their movement in development. Because there is a very large field of scientific activity there, " Shoigu said.
He also recalled that the Russian army continues to rearm with Avangard missile systems, and tests of the Zircon hypersonic missiles are underway.
For the first time, Russian President Vladimir Putin announced the latest types of Russian strategic weapons, including the Peresvet combat laser, in a message to the Federal Assembly on March 1, 2018. Later, the Minister of Defense reported that the installations of the Peresvet complex were put on experimental combat duty from December 1, 2018.
Since December 2019, "Peresvet" has been used to cover mobile Russian missile systems.
