MOSCOW, May 21. /TASS/. Designers of modern weapons have started teaching in military universities of the Russian Federation, Russian Defense Minister General of the Army Sergei Shoigu said on Friday at a lecture of the educational marathon "New Knowledge".
"We have started to give lectures, teach designers of the most modern weapons," Shoigu said.
According to him, the most modern methods and systems are also used in educational processes. "Now we are at the stage of moving away from these large portfolios with textbooks and notebooks. We are now working to ensure that all cadets and trainees have a laptop so that they can log in to the network from any point, this has already been done in many educational institutions, " the minister said.
He said that a digital library has been created for the armed forces. "A single electronic library, the library fund of all the armed forces, educational institutions. And we paid great attention to this, and purchased a large amount of equipment for digitization, " the head of the Defense Ministry explained.
He also said that while many people argue about history textbooks, having a large number of them, the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation held a competition and chose one history textbook.
"We have one history textbook, we, in general, do not argue on this topic. We have a clear and clear history textbook, because here it is necessary to teach what really speaks about the history of our country, and not about all sorts of conjectures and fantasies that historical science has acquired," the head of the Defense Ministry said.
Military training centers in civilian universities
According to Shoigu, more than 100 civilian universities in Russia have opened military training centers to train students in the programs of soldiers, sergeants and officers. "The President gave us an instruction in one of his messages. This order was fulfilled, and today we have military training centers in 109 higher educational institutions, 60 thousand of those who serve on-the-job, " Shoigu said.
According to him, after completing such training, students can go to contract service and serve, for example, on complex systems - S-300, S-400 or Iskander complexes.
He said that young people with higher education who are serving in the military service are becoming more numerous every year. In order to use their potential, the Russian Armed Forces created scientific companies. Now there are 18 of them, the competition in them is 25 people per place. Then, according to the head of the military department, scientific and production companies were created.
"This is quite an important component for the military-industrial complex, when you can serve and continue to work in our military-industrial complex. I hope that our experience will spread, " the minister concluded.
