The international exhibition Shield Africa 2021 will be held in Ivory Coast from 8 to 10 June
MOSCOW, May 19. /TASS/. The Strela floating armored vehicle developed by the Russian Military-Industrial Company (MIC) will be presented for the first time at the international arms exhibition Shield Africa 2021, which will open in Abidjan (Ivory Coast) on June 8. This was reported to TASS on Wednesday in the press service of the military-industrial complex.
"[The exhibition] has already sent full-scale samples of multi-purpose wheeled armored vehicles "MIC-Ural", SBM [special armored vehicle] "Tiger "in the" Raid "configuration and an armored amphibious vehicle "Strela",-the press service informed.
According to Alexander Krasovitsky, General Director of the Military-Industrial complex, the company is increasing its efforts to promote equipment to the markets of African countries. "Such an aggressive policy to conquer the African market is due to the fact that as a result of the pandemic, business activity significantly decreased last year and now we are catching up," the press service quoted Krasovitsky as saying.
MIC is the largest Russian manufacturer of wheeled armored vehicles.
The international exhibition Shield Africa 2021 will be held from 8 to 10 June.
