STAVROPOL, May 18. /TASS/. The Military Training Center of the North Caucasus Federal University (NCFU) has opened a new military accounting specialty. From 2021, the university will begin training reserve officers, the press center of the university reported on Tuesday.
"For the first time in the military training center in 2021, a new military accounting specialty-reserve officers will be recruited. Currently, NCFU is the only university in the North Caucasus Federal District that trains future officers, " the report says.
The military training center accepts applications for participation in the competitive selection until May 29, 2021. Students who have the proper level of physical training, high performance in their studies and social life will be able to apply for admission. Training programs for reserve officers will last two and a half years, reserve sergeants-two years, reserve soldiers-one and a half years.
The first 36 students started training at the university's Military Training Center in September 2017. Initially, the center trained reserve sergeants, the competition for a place in the selection was 3-4 people.
Earlier, State Secretary-Deputy Minister of Defense of the Russian Federation Nikolai Pankov reported that over the past five years, 28 new military training centers have been created in Russia, including 12 in the regions of Siberia, the Far East and the North. Unified structural units - military training centers - were formed in 2017-2019 on the basis of military departments, faculties of military training and military training centers.
