Moscow. May 14. INTERFAX-The head of the State Duma Committee on Security and Anti-Corruption, Vasily Piskarev, said that measures against the Czech Republic and Washington as unfriendly countries will continue until they reconsider their policy towards Russia.
"Our country is open for dialogue and cooperation, but as long as unfriendly actions against Russia and its citizens continue, retaliatory measures, including restrictions on hiring Russians to work in the embassies of these countries, will be in effect," Piskarev said, as quoted by the committee's press service on Friday evening.
So the parliamentarian commented on the inclusion by the Russian government of the United States and the Czech Republic in the list of states unfriendly to Russia.
He stressed that this measure is forced and fully justified, since the authorities in Washington and Prague have repeatedly demonstrated "unfriendly actions". Piskarev added that attempts to interfere in internal affairs and support destructive forces in Russia cannot remain unanswered.
Earlier on Friday, it was reported that the US Embassy will not be able to conclude employment contracts with persons located on the territory of Russia.
The order approving the list of foreign states that commit unfriendly actions against the Russian Federation is published on the official portal of legal information. The list of such countries includes the United States and the Czech Republic.
The document, in particular, determines the number of individuals who are located on the territory of the Russian Federation and with whom diplomatic missions and consular offices can conclude employment contracts. According to it, the US Embassy no longer has such a right.
