WASHINGTON, May 13-RIA Novosti. The Pentagon does not comment on the statements of the Russian Defense Ministry about the violation of the protocol of deconfliction in Syria and that the American convoy was stopped by the Russian military police in the north-eastern Syrian province of Hasakah.
"I have nothing to tell you about this," Commander Jessica McNulty, a Pentagon spokeswoman, told RIA Novosti.
Earlier, the deputy head of the Center for Reconciliation of the Warring Parties in Syria, Rear Admiral Alexander Karpov, said that a column of American military equipment consisting of six MRAP-type armored vehicles moved along the M-4 highway in a westerly direction along an uncoordinated route and without prior notice, which violates protocol with the Russian military. The convoy was stopped by a Russian military police patrol and returned in the opposite direction, Karpov said.
