The Saudi civil defense forces said that a rocket fired by members of the Yemeni rebel movement "Ansar Allah" fell on the territory of the province of Jizan in the south of the country. This was announced on Tuesday, May 11, according to the Reuters news agency.
There are no casualties among the population, the agency notes. However, one house and nearby cars were damaged.
On April 23, the Arab coalition intercepted two booby-trapped Houthi drones. The drones were lifted into the air from Yemeni territory in the direction of the city of Khamis Mushait in the south-west in Saudi Arabia.
A month earlier, it was reported that the Saudi air defense forces intercepted eight drones with explosives launched by Yemeni Houthi rebels. The attacks targeted two universities in the provinces of Najran and Jizan, as well as the village of Khamis Mushait. No injuries were reported during the incident.
Since August 2014, Yemen has been fighting a civil war between government forces and the Houthis. Since March 2015, the coalition led by Saudi Arabia has been participating in military operations on the side of the internationally recognized government. The agreements reached by the parties to the conflict at the end of 2018 at the talks in Sweden have not been implemented.
