Israeli tanks hit Hamas targets in response to rocket launches - Israeli Army

Jerusalem. May 10. INTERFAX-Israeli army tanks responded to the launching of explosive balloons and rocket launches on Israeli territory by striking Hamas targets, the Israel Defense Forces said on Monday in a tweet.

"In response to explosive balloons and four rockets fired from Gaza at Israel, IDF tanks have just struck Hamas terrorist targets in Gaza," the statement said.

Four rockets were fired from the Gaza Strip toward Israel amid escalating tensions and violence near the border and in East Jerusalem over an Israeli court's decision to evict several Palestinian families from their homes in Jerusalem's Sheikh Jarrah neighborhood.
