The Turkish defense industry is celebrating another achievement — the domestic air defense system successfully hit the "fighter". Yesterday, May 5, the press service of the Turkish Defense Association (Savunma Sanayii Başkanlığı, SSB) reported on the successful testing of the HISAR A+system.
During the test, a missile fired from the HISAR A+ air defense system successfully hit a drone simulating a fighter jet. At the same time, the SSB focuses on the fact that the target was hit in a completely autonomous mode using standard detection, identification and guidance systems.
Test of the HISAR A+air defense system
The HISAR A+ is an improved version of the HISAR-A air defense system. The improved version is equipped with missiles capable of hitting targets at a distance of up to 15 km and an altitude of up to 8 km. For HISAR A, these figures are 15 km and 5 km, respectively.
