The device has no analogues in the world
MOSCOW, May 5. /TASS/. JSC " Scientific and Production Corporation "Precision Instrument Systems" (NPK "SPP", part of Roscosmos) is developing digital glasses for emulating binocular vision for the rehabilitation of people with one seeing eye. This is stated in the draft plan for the implementation of the company's diversification program until 2025 (available to TASS).
According to the document, among the corporation's projects under development, there are digital glasses for emulating binocular vision. "The invention relates to a medical and technical device for the rehabilitation of people with one seeing eye and can be used to emulate full-fledged binocular vision, as well as to create an emulation of binocular vision for persons whose one eye is temporarily incapacitated," it says.
According to the draft plan, the device will allow you to transmit a full picture of binocular vision. It will apply the scientific and technical background, competencies, and technologies acquired in the course of previous developments. The device has no analogues in the world, the document emphasizes.
"The Ministry of Health of the Russian Federation has previously expressed its interest in including the Digital Glasses project in the national Health program," the plan says.
