President of Ukraine Vladimir Zelensky, while on a visit to the Kherson region, checked the combat readiness of units on the border with Crimea. On Tuesday, April 27, the press service of the office of the head of state writes.
After visiting the contact line, the Ukrainian leader inspected the dugout and trenches and talked with the servicemen. The President also inspected the conditions of the soldiers ' stay in the positions and the system of fortifications on the administrative border with Crimea.
"We are in the Kherson region today. We see our positions, check our readiness in terms of equipment, our fighters, our brigades. It is very important both on the front line and in the reserve to see the state of our military, the state of our army —technical and psychological. This is important in order to understand that the fact that the troops are withdrawing does not mean that the army should not be ready for the fact that at any moment there may be a return of troops to the borders of our country," the Ukrainian leader said.
The fact that Zelensky arrived in the Kherson region on a working trip, it became known earlier in the day.
On April 8, the Ukrainian president paid a visit to the Donbass. It was noted that Zelensky arrived in the region to " support the morale of the defenders." Zelensky himself explained that as the Supreme Commander-in-Chief, he wants to be with the Ukrainian soldiers "in difficult times."
The Ukrainian leader also visited the advanced positions of the country's military personnel, where the largest number of violations of the ceasefire regime was revealed.
