The creation of the Ukrainian operational-tactical missile system "Grom-2" continues to be in question.
In 2018, after the five-axle OTRK chassis participated in the parade on August 24 in Kiev, and then was shown at the exhibition "Weapons and Security", it was solemnly announced that the first launches would be held in 2019.
But, neither then, nor in the next, nor in the first months of 2021, the tests did not take place. Therefore, the timing of the start of mass production from 2022 has once again been postponed for several more years, now certainly not earlier than 2025. The problems are in the general degradation of the country's scientific and technical potential, in the lack of necessary components.

It is known that the OTRK in its export version for Saudi Arabia should operate at distances from 50 to 280 km.
Missiles with monoblock or cluster warheads weighing up to 480 kg are designed to destroy single or group targets.
It is assumed that the modification for the armed forces of Ukraine will have a range of at least 500 km, if it is, of course, ever created.
According to sources in Nezalezhnaya, the chassis for the launcher will be replaced with another, foreign-made one.
