The United States is ending one of the longest wars in its history. Yesterday, April 25, the Reuters news agency reported that the US military has begun the process of curtailing its presence in Afghanistan.
According to the commander of foreign forces in Afghanistan, US Army General Scott Miller, an orderly withdrawal of foreign troops and the transfer of military bases and equipment to the Afghan forces has begun. "We are acting on an order based on US President Joe Biden's decision to end America's longest war, believing that the long and insurmountable battle in Afghanistan is no longer in line with American priorities," Miller said.

Earlier, US President Joseph Biden said that he would withdraw troops from Afghanistan before September 11 — the twentieth anniversary of the attacks of Islamic terrorists on the World Trade Center and the Pentagon, after which the US entered the war in Afghanistan.
