MOSCOW, April 26/ Radio Sputnik. The Zvezda TV channel showed footage of the test launch of a new missile of the Russian missile defense system.
The tests were conducted at the Sary-Shagan test site in Kazakhstan. According to the commander of the anti-missile defense unit of the Aerospace Forces, Sergei Grabchuk, the new anti-missile confirmed the characteristics laid down, and the combat crews hit the conditional target with the specified accuracy.
In November last year, Sputnik radio also reported on successful tests of this anti-missile. The anti-missile defense system is designed to protect against attacks by means of an air and space attack of a potential enemy.
Before that, at the end of October, the Ministry of Defense informed about the tests of a new anti-missile at the Sary-Shagan test site. The launches took place in June and July 2019, February, July, August and December 2018, and in November 2017.
