Moscow. April 22. INTERFAX-Russia is in favor of intensifying cooperation with Iraq, including military-technical cooperation, Russian Deputy Prime Minister Yuri Borisov said after talks in Baghdad with the country's top leadership.
"We attach great importance to the development of the entire range of bilateral relations, we pay the greatest attention to issues related to the restoration of the Iraqi economy and the intensification of cooperation in such priority areas as energy, industrial cooperation, transport, agriculture and military - technical cooperation," Borisov said, quoted in the press service.
The Deputy Prime Minister stressed that Iraq is one of Russia's key partners in the Middle East region.
