Earlier, the head of Roscosmos said that RSC Energia has set a task to ensure the readiness of the first base module for the station in 2025
MOSCOW, April 21. /TASS/. The Science and Energy Module (NEM), which was created for the ISS, will be redesigned for the Russian space station. This was reported to journalists by the General Director of Roscosmos Dmitry Rogozin.
"We plan to start with the groundwork that is on hand. The NEM will be reworked, " Rogozin said.
According to the head of Roscosmos, using the NEM as the base module of the new station, where it will need more independence, is not comparable to using the module on the ISS.
Earlier, the head of Roscosmos said that the Rocket and Space Corporation Energia was tasked with ensuring the readiness of the first base module for the new Russian space station in 2025. According to him, it is already in the works. The head of the state corporation also published a video of the first module being created - it will be a scientific and energy module, which was previously supposed to be launched to the ISS in 2024.
On Sunday, the office of Deputy Prime Minister Yuri Borisov told TASS that the state of the ISS leaves much to be desired. They explained that the ISS needs a technical inspection to avoid any risks in the event of an emergency, which will result in a decision on the future fate of the station. In turn, Borisov in an interview with Pavel Zarubin on the air of the program " Moscow. The Kremlin. Putin " said that the Russian Federation can leave the ISS in 2025.
