SBU: in some areas, the temporary introduction of a special regime is possible
Kiev. April 19. INTERFAX-UKRAINE-The Security Service of Ukraine is conducting and planning large-scale multi-stage anti-terrorist exercises in most regions of Ukraine, during which critical infrastructure facilities, including the energy and transport systems, are under increased protection, the press center of the SBU reports.
"During the training, increased attention is paid to working out actions to protect strategically important objects and the borders of the state. The purpose of the events is to improve interdepartmental cooperation to counter possible terrorist and sabotage threats, " the report says.
The exercises are attended by regional units of the SBU, the National Police, the State Border Service, the National Guard, the Armed Forces of Ukraine, the State Emergency Service, as well as representatives of executive authorities and local self-government.
"During the exercises in certain areas, it is possible to temporarily introduce a special regime, restrict or prohibit the movement of vehicles and pedestrians, check identity documents, review cars, etc.The SBU appeals to the citizens of Ukraine to understand temporary inconveniences and properly respond to the legitimate demands of law enforcement officers," the ministry said.
Last week, the training activities of the SBU began, in particular, in the Kharkiv, Kherson and Sumy regions.
