TSAMTO, April 15. The Ministry of Defense of Bosnia and Herzegovina reported on the ceremony of gratuitous transfer of 15 units of engineering vehicles and vehicles by the military department of the People's Republic of China to the armed forces of the country held at the Rylovac base in Sarajevo.
The Engineering battalion of the BiH Armed Forces received six new Sinotruk Howo 6x4 military trucks/dump trucks, two low-frame semi-trailers, two trucks with a crane manipulator, as well as three backhoe loaders, one bulldozer and a compact loader developed by LiuGong. In addition, a set of spare parts was handed over.
The event was attended by Defense Minister BiH Shifet Podjic, who said that the Armed Forces of Bosnia and Herzegovina in the framework of modernization in previous years have already received engineering equipment from China. The cost of the new batch, transferred in accordance with the agreement previously signed by the Ministries of Defense of BiH and the People's Republic of China, is about 2.5 million convertible marks (about $ 1.5 million).
As stated, the equipment will be used by the Armed Forces of BiH to perform various tasks, including providing assistance to civil authorities in the aftermath of natural disasters.
