Tbilisi. April 15. INTERFAX-During Georgia's participation in the mission in Afghanistan, 32 Georgian soldiers were killed, the Georgian Defense Ministry said in a statement released on Thursday night in connection with NATO's decision to end the Resolute Support mission in Afghanistan by September this year.
According to the statement, the units of the Georgian Defense Forces will leave Afghanistan according to the schedule agreed with NATO.
The ministry notes that close consultations have already begun on this issue with both NATO and the United States.
To date, 860 Georgian servicemen are serving in Afghanistan.
