"In 2014, NATO decided to deploy troops there in advance to send a signal. This is our task. This is the task of our unit for this year and the next three, " one of the commanders of the artillery training battalion told reporters.
As follows from the report of the TV channel, the operation is aimed at "ensuring the security of the eastern flank of the allied states" of the alliance.
Information about the maneuvers at the training ground was also confirmed by the German Agency dpa, which, in turn, did not indicate the connection of the training of military personnel with any signals addressed to Moscow.
