Russia continues to receive new applications from other countries for the supply of S-400 "Triumph" air defense systems, said on Monday, April 12, the press secretary of the Federal Service for Military-Technical Cooperation (FSMTC) of the Russian Federation Valeria Reshetnikova.
According to her, the interest of potential buyers to purchase the S-400 remains.
"To date, only this system is capable of ensuring the guaranteed defeat of both cruise and ballistic missiles, as well as unmanned aerial vehicles of various classes," she said.
The contract with China for the supply of at least six S-400 divisions worth more than $3 billion was signed by Russia in 2014. After that, Turkey, India and Saudi Arabia became interested in Russian air defenses.
In February 2020, it was reported that Russia began production of the S-400 for India. The first deliveries will take place before the end of 2021.
Deliveries of Russian S-400 anti-aircraft missile systems to Ankara began in the summer of 2019.
