China and India have agreed to maintain contact through military and diplomatic channels following the 11th round of talks at the level of the countries ' military commanders. This is reported by CGTN with reference to the Saturday statement of the zone of the combat command of the People's Liberation Army of China.
"We hope that the Indian side will cherish our current positive trend on the issue of de-escalation and cooling of hostilities on the territory of the Indian-Chinese border. We also hope that India will adhere to the agreements reached between the two armies and move parallel to the Chinese side, jointly maintain peace and tranquility in the border area, " the statement said.
At the same time, The Tribune India, citing sources, reported that India will not be able to implement a full retreat exactly until the full withdrawal of Chinese troops from the site in Eastern Ladakh is organized.
Earlier it became known that China and India began withdrawing troops from the joint border in the area of Lake Pangong-Tso. This agreement was reached as a result of the 9th round of negotiations at the level of the military command of both countries.
