The State Corporation "Roscosmos" supported the scientific project of OmSTU to create new samples of electrothermal engines for nanosatellites weighing 4 kg or more. The scientists plan to develop and manufacture new samples of fuel automation elements of the corrective propulsion system and new samples of micro-motors based on the NTC "Cryogenic Technology".
"The use of propulsion systems will allow us to effectively solve the problems of orbital maneuvering, which is an actual direction of development, both in the domestic and foreign markets," explained project manager Viktor Blinov.
As the OMSKREGION News Agency notes, corrective propulsion systems are needed for continuous monitoring of natural and anthropogenic emergencies, environmental monitoring, and ionospheric research.
The US National Space Agency (NASA) has released a new image of the diffuse Veil nebula, a giant supernova remnant in the constellation Cygnus. The images were obtained from the American Hubble telescope using techniques that allow you to reveal the smallest details. As a result, even strands of ionized oxygen and nitrogen are visible in the photos. Observations of the nebula are conducted using the Hubble Wide Field Camera 3 instrument, which has five different filters.
