As reported by the TASS news agency, development work (R & D) on the creation of the latest intercontinental ballistic missile (ICBM) "Cedar" will begin at the turn of 2023-2024. This was reported to TASS by a source in the military-industrial complex.

"Research work (R & D) on the "Cedar" is funded under the current state armament program until 2027. OCD will begin in 2023-2024, " he said.
According to him, solid-fuel missiles "Cedar" will come to replace the Yars complexes in service with the Strategic Missile Forces (RVSN) at the turn of 2030. The new ICBMs, like the Yars, will be both mobile and stationary (mine), the source added.
TASS does not have an official comment from the Moscow Institute of Thermal Engineering (part of the state corporation "Roscosmos"), where the strategic complexes "Topol", "Topol-M" and "Yars"were developed.
On March 1, a TASS source reported that the enterprises of the Russian military-industrial complex have started designing a new-generation strategic missile system "Cedar".
