"Research work (R & D) on the "Cedar" is funded under the current state armament program until 2027. OCD will begin in 2023-2024, " he said.
According to him, solid-fuel missiles "Cedar" will come to replace the Yars complexes in service with the Strategic Missile Forces (RVSN) at the turn of 2030. The new ICBMs, like the Yars, will be both mobile and stationary (mine), the source added.
TASS does not have an official comment from the Moscow Institute of Thermal Engineering (part of the state corporation "Roscosmos"), where the strategic complexes "Topol", "Topol-M" and "Yars"were developed.
