Moscow. March 31. INTERFAX-The agreements with Turkey on Idlib are being implemented more slowly than expected, Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov said.
"In Idlib, we have a protocol agreed upon by the presidents, and it was practically agreed upon a couple of years ago. It is being implemented more slowly than agreed, " Lavrov said at the Middle East conference of the Valdai Club.
He noted that the Turkish side " confirms all its obligations under the protocol, including the separation of the armed opposition members who cooperate with Turkey from the terrorists who continue to fire at the positions of the Syrian army from the Idlib zone, and try to attack the Russian base in Khmeimim."
According to the Russian Foreign Minister, in accordance with the protocol, Turkish observation posts were removed from the territories from which the opposition left, in addition, work is now underway to fully implement the agreement on the M-4 highway.
