The DPRK authorities have accused the UN Security Council of using double standards in assessing the actions of different countries in connection with its reaction to the recent launch of ballistic missiles by Pyongyang.
This was reported by the Korean Central Telegraph Agency. According to the representative of the Foreign Ministry of the Republic, at the March 26 meeting of the Committee for Monitoring Compliance with Sanctions against the DPRK at the UN Security Council, the United States called for new restrictions against it.
"The fact that the UN Security Council questions normal actions that fall under the right of our country to self-defense is a denial of the sovereignty of the state and obvious double standards.
There is no logic in the fact that only our justified defensive measures are singled out for accusations, while many other countries around the world launch a variety of ammunition to increase their military power," the agency quotes the head of the Department of international Organizations of the Foreign Ministry, Cho Chol Soo.
