Rosgvardiya will strengthen its work on ensuring security in the strategically important areas of the Arctic, Crimea and the Far East, improve the fight against terrorism, and the agency will also pay attention to the well-being of its personnel, the head of Rosgvardiya Viktor Zolotov said in a festive greeting.
"The National Guard troops face large-scale state tasks. We will have to step up our efforts to ensure security in the strategically important areas of the Arctic, in the Crimea and in the Far East, " Zolotov said, adding that it is also necessary to improve the forms and methods of countering terrorism and strengthen the level of preventive influence in the field of arms trafficking.
"Of course, we will pay the closest attention to the issues of social well-being of the personnel," the head of the department promised.
In his festive greeting, Zolotov stressed that Rosgvardiya is celebrating a double anniversary: "Today, March 27, the law enforcement forces will celebrate 210 years, and a week later, on April 5, we will celebrate the 5th anniversary of the creation of Rosgvardiya."
