WASHINGTON, 17 Mar-RIA Novosti. A decision on the exact date of the withdrawal of US troops from Afghanistan has not yet been made, Washington is consulting with its allies on this topic, US President Joe Biden said in an interview with ABC News.
"I am now in the process of making a decision as to when they will leave. The reality is that the deal (with the Taliban) that the president - the former president-worked out wasn't very solid. Therefore, we are consulting with our allies, as well as with the government, and a solution is being worked out," Biden said.
He confirmed that the US will be able to withdraw all its troops from Afghanistan by May 1, but "it will be difficult."
