Ukraine has armed itself with the first Neptune missile system. Yesterday, March 15, the press service of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine reported that the prototype of the RK-360MC "Neptune" was officially transferred to the Ukrainian Navy.
"Thanks to the joint work of the defense department and domestic enterprises, it was possible to produce a new generation of weapons that will increase the deterrent potential and increase the influence of Ukraine on the sea. Our homework is to close the Neptune ,missile and patrol boats, corvettes into a single defense system that can repel the enemy from the sea, " said Ukrainian Defense Minister Andriy Taran.

RK-360MC "Neptune" - anti-ship missile system. Its R-360 missile is designed to destroy battleships of the cruiser, destroyer, frigate, corvette, amphibious, tank-landing ships and transports that operate both independently and as part of ship groups and amphibious detachments. It is also possible to defeat coastal radio-contrast targets with active fire and electronic counteraction from the enemy.
The developer of "Neptune" is the State Kiev Design Bureau "Luch". According to official data, the maximum target range is 300 km. At the same time, the missile can be successfully aimed at both surface and ground objects.
