"We will build a model of strategic mutual trust, firmly support each other in defending the fundamental interests, join forces against the "color revolutions", fight against all kinds of false information, and maintain our sovereignty and political security, " he said at a press conference at the ongoing session of the National People's Congress (NPC).
He noted that China and Russia are cooperating "side by side" in the fight against the coronavirus epidemic, and are ready to " work together to fight the "political virus" together.
"China and Russia have always been the pillars of world peace and stability," Wang Yi said.
He added that " the more unstable and restless the world is, the more determined the cooperation between China and Russia will become. This is not only the experience of history, but also the demands of the time."
