TSAMTO, March 3. Czech company RETIA at the IDEX-2021 exhibition in Abu Dhabi demonstrated a multi-purpose three-axis radar ReGUARD, designed to detect and track ground and low-flying air targets.
As reported by Armyrecognition.com, ReGUARD is the first three-axis radar developed and manufactured in the Czech Republic. It provides simultaneous detection and tracking of ground targets and low-speed low-flying objects. The X-band station with an active phased array antenna with electronic scanning can search for targets in sector and circular modes. At the same time, in comparison with the sector mode, the target detection range is slightly reduced in the circular view mode. Thus, ReGUARD can detect targets with an EPR of 1 sq. m. at ranges up to 17.5 km, 0.1 sq. m. - 11 km (11.5 km in sector mode), 0.01 sq. m. - 6 km (6.5 km in sector mode) and an altitude of up to 3 km. The maximum detection range of a ground target is 18 km. The deployment time at the position does not exceed 10 minutes.
ReGUARD belongs to the category of pulse-Doppler three-axis radars and can be supplied in a portable, stationary or mobile configuration. The design of the station provides high reliability, including through the redundancy of components. ReGUARD is characterized by its compact size and low weight – the weight of the radar unit is only 66 kg.
ReGUARD can be used as an independent detection tool, or as a component of a complex system. The station provides the ability to simultaneously detect ground and air targets, which allows it to be used as part of border control systems or the protection of important infrastructure, in anti-UAV systems, as well as air defense systems.
