As reported by the RIA Novosti news agency, Rosoboronexport JSC (ROE) and the Jordanian company Jadara Equipment and Defense Systems have agreed to open a licensed production of anti-tank guided missiles from the Kornet-E missile system in Jordan. This was stated to journalists on February 22, 2021 by the official representative of the ROE.

Vozimo-portable version of the Russian anti-tank missile system 9K129 "Kornet-E", equipped with the SAGER thermal imaging sight of the Turkish company Aselsan, in the exposition of the XI International exhibition of weapons of special operations forces SOFEX-2016. Amman (Jordan), May 2016 (c) AST Center

"During the 15th International Defense exhibition IDEX-2021, negotiations were held between Rosoboronexport and Jadara Equipment and Defense Systems. The parties agreed to organize the licensed assembly production of ATGMs of the 9M133-1 and 9M133F-1 types from the Kornet-E ATGMS, " he said.

From the bmpd recall that the company Jadara Equipment and Defence Systems was originally established as a joint venture of the infamous design Bureau named after king Abdullah II's (King Abdullah II Design & Development Bureau - KADDB) and Jordan by the Jordanian Company Al-Motakhasesah for Electronic Services for serial Assembly in Jordan Russian handheld anti-tank grenade launcher RPG-32 "Hashim" (Jordanian designation Nashshab) development of JSC "NPO "Basalt".

The assembly of the RPG-32 for the Jordanian armed forces was started at Jadara Equipment and Defense Systems in 2013, and since then the company has been trying to expand its product line. In particular, under the agreements of 2017-2019, Jadara Equipment and Defense Systems organized, under the designation Terminator-AT (then Raptor-MV), the assembly of the Ukrainian ATGM "Korsar" with R-3 series missiles developed by the Kiev State Enterprise "GKKB " Luch". Now, as you can see, it is planned to organize the assembly of missiles such as 9M133-1 and 9M133F-1 from the Russian ATGM "Kornet-E".

In the 2000s, Jordan received significant shipments of Kornet-E ATGMs and missiles from Russia's IMZ.
