Iran has conducted a test launch of a new carrier rocket "Zuljanah" (Zol-Jannah). This is reported by the local news agency Irib News.
It is reported that the rocket runs on a combined fuel-a mixture of solid and liquid components. According to the Islamic Republic's Defense Ministry, it is Iran's most powerful missile to date. It is capable of launching a satellite weighing 220 kilograms into low Earth orbit (at an altitude of 500 kilometers).
In April 2020, Iran launched a military satellite for the first time. Then the Qassed rocket launched the Noor-1 spacecraft into a 425-kilometer-high orbit. Other details of the launch were not reported.
